Redesign of the Employment Authorization Document and Citizenship Certificate

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced the launch of an enhanced Employment Authorization Document (EAD) and a redesigned Form N-560, Certificate of Citizenship, with new features to enhance security and deter fraud. As part ongoing efforts by USCIS to enhance the integrity of the immigration system, the state-of-the-art technology incorporated into the new documents will deter counterfeiting, obstruct tampering, and facilitate quick and accurate authentication. The agency anticipates that more than 1 million people will receive the new documents over the next year. Read the fact sheet for redesigned N-560.

USCIS Revises Guide to Naturalization

The USCIS website states, "Recent changes in immigration law and USCIS procedures now make it easier for U.S. military personnel to naturalize (see Naturalization Information for Military Personnel). A Guide to Naturalization (M-476) provides information on the benefits and responsibilities of citizenship, an overview of the naturalization process, and eligibility requirements."
